Another fun July Fourth at the Greenberg Family lake house in North Carolina. Our one-week stay never seems long enough, as the days slip by, filled sunup to sundown with boating, fishing, canoeing, and lots of eating (just to name a few)! The kids absolutely adore their older cousins. It's like having older siblings for the brief time they're with them. Lots of good memories were being made during out trip! Feeling really old, driving our 15 year-old nephew's car from the airport, then having the gear shift detatch in hand. Grandparents buying too many Hershey Kisses and filling cups with chocolate milk well beyond reason, because they can! Allowing the older kids to watch inappropriate rated movies because their uncles say it's okay ("How bad can Caddy Shack be? It's an old R")! An old R? Hahaha! The grown boys will say anything to get the moms to loosen up. Counting cousin Tamra's piercings, or the amount of text messages she receives in one day. Pop Pop dwindling his yard work list (dated July 2007 I think), divided 14 ways! Seeing burn marks on the newly stained dock from fireworks (wasn't me!). Or just watching the beautiful sunset over the treetops, feeling blessed. We all have our own memories, those highlights that make you smile when you think of holidays past! Till next year...
