We managed to squeeze in a short 2 day trip to the coast before school began. Mustang Island was our beach of choice, and one of our favorite spots to hang out. On this trip, I introduced the kids to ocean fishing, and as you will see, they fell in love.
| If looks say it all, then this poor fish was just as surprised as me, when Skylar gave him a little love. |
| Am I missing something? It must be good luck to kiss a fish. |
| This girl LUVS 2 FISH!! |
| Beginner's luck! |
| Fish #2 |
| Brady preferred to keep the bait company. |
| Brady called this his "hot tub". Ha ha ha! (before the fish took over, of course) |
| Oh, the glamorous life of a mom! Just keepin' it real! |
Just barely off shore, we saw "the fin" resurfacing from time to time. A dolphin, I'm guessing, but the first picture does look more like SHARK!
| Shark mouth!! I love this mixed dentition! |
| Digging for coquinas. |
| And there they are, all ten thousand of them! |
| One fact about leaving the east coast in the evening, is the inevitable return drive into the sunset. This one was spectacular! This image does nothing to capture it's real beauty and enormity! What an awesome two days enjoying God's creations! |
