In Remembrance of Me
Today is Good Friday. I easily get swept up in the Easter Sunday celebration of candy baskets, egg hunts, and more. It's fun. It's tradition. Today, we remembered the crucifixion of Christ, and the Last Supper Passover meal. Although our bread was not unleavened and we had not wine, we had a tea party with a symbolic cross sandwich that the children are sure to remember.
And he took bread, gave thanks, and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, "This is my body given for you: do this in remembrance of me." Luke 22:19

Mama's lunch... the leftovers.

Thanks for posting this. This year with preschool Isa was introduced to the Easter Rabbit, eggs, egg-dyeing etc. I hope to do a better job next year celebrating the Resurrection! I'm going to adopt your idea.
